Senior Account Clerk (SR-13)

  2022-09-07     City and County of Honolulu     Honolulu     $3,295 month  

Position Information

Sets up and maintains accounting records for a major section of an accounting system and performs or supervises the review, posting, revising and summarization of fiscal records and statements; compiles data and prepares reports; and performs other related duties as required.

Current vacancies are located in the Department of Budget and Fiscal Services. This list may be used to fill future vacancies in this and/or other departments

Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Equivalent to graduation from high school.
  • Four (4) years of clerical experience, three (3) years of which shall have been in account record keeping work.
  • Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices; office practices and procedures; the ability to maintain fiscal accounts and records; interpret fiscal records and data; etc.

Substitution: An Associate degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of clerical experience and up to one year of account record keeping experience. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university will substitute for all of the required experience.
