Airport Industrial Park (AIPA) is an owner-developed and managed multi-level office/warehouse facility conveniently located next to the Honolulu International Airport. We are looking for an experienced Construction Carpenter to support our on-site construction and facilities operations as we strive to provide our tenants with a quality experience. The right candidate for this position will be respectful, reliable, and detail oriented. The hourly range for this position is $35-40/hour (determined on experience) and includes a generous benefits package. We are excited to discuss the many opportunities we have available for you at Airport Industrial Park!

Essential Skills:

  • Performs skilled and semi-skilled carpentry tasks in the repair, alteration, and construction of interior office spaces and exteriors and building systems
  • Erects, moves, and works from scaffolds and ladders
  • Frames walls, applies and finishes gypsum board
  • Install acoustical ceilings
  • Installs, repairs and hangs doors and windows
  • Installs, repairs and replaces ceramic, porcelain, vct floor tile and carpet and base
  • Installs, repairs millwork, cabinets, and furniture
  • Installs, repairs and replaces door hardware
  • Forms and pours concrete for slabs, decks, sidewalks and building pads
  • Performs rough and finish trim carpentry
  • Cleans and organizes jobsites and work areas as required
  • Assists with ongoing property maintenance with Maintenance Team as assigned
  • Communicates with Tenants, AIPA personnel, maintenance personnel to address needs, concerns, and questions
  • Assists in ordering equipment and construction materials
  • Utilizes forklift to load and unload supplies as needed
  • Assists in inventory reviews
  • Maintains construction shop areas clean and free of safety hazards
  • Maintains equipment logs
  • Responds to after hour emergencies as requested
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of current work experience
  • Knowledge and skills to provide professional and quality construction and maintenance services
  • Knowledge of safety procedures for building construction
  • Ability to develop solutions and utilize creative problem solving
  • Ability to work in a team environment and complete tasks without immediate supervision
  • Ability to effectively communicate with other team members and management
