Hiring a Construction Superintendent for Elevator Modernization project at a University Campus in Hawaii. The project will consist of removing, replacing, refurbishing and upgrading the existing elevator equipment, including elevator access control system for 21 elevators. Other associated work includes site construction, sewer, oil/water separator, concrete, metals, thermal and moisture protection, doors and finish hardware, resilient and ceramic tile flooring, painting, hazardous material remediation, elevator equipment, mechanical, plumbing and air conditioning, automatic fire sprinkler system, electrical, fire alarm, lighting, elevator proximity access control system and camera system, interfacing materials, cabling accessories and software and licenses. The Construction Superintendent must have a minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a construction Project Superintendent.
The Superintendent must have experience on similar size and type construction contracts which include all the trades that are part of this contract, particularly on projects that included elevator work. The Superintendent must have experience with planning, organizing, and controlling construction projects. Provide quality control, supervision, hazard identification, and safety compliance. Possess extensive knowledge and experience in planning, scheduling, communicating, coordinating, managing and controlling all phases of work for subcontractors and staff. Have a comprehensive knowledge of recognizing and understanding plans/drawings. Have a thorough familiarity of construction specifications and proficiency in interpretation.
VERY IMPORTANT: The Construction Superintendent must provide a minimum of 3 past performances within the last 4 years which include projects that included elevator work. It must include the following: project name, contract agency, date of notice to proceed, date of project completion, description of work, contract person and contact number.
