A Database Administrator-GIS Specialist position is available with the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML). This position is responsible for providing GIS database support, and intranet/internet programming to create and configure US Army Garrison environmental websites and supporting databases. The position is located at Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii.

Required Qualifications: 

  • The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by the proposed start date; CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
  • Must have a valid and current driver’s license or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license by employment start date.
  • Applicants must have a BS or BA degree plus 3 years of relevant experience related to database development and management of geospatial data.
  • Candidate must be able to comply with all applicable regulations to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC). Furthermore, candidates are required at a minimum to complete a NACI/SF85 and successfully pass a federal background check to remain eligible for employment by CSU.
  • Must have a secret security clearance and Security + Network + certification in compliance with Army Regulation DOD 8570.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with CADD and SDSFIE datasets.
  • Experience working with software applications such as ESRI ArcGIS.
  • Experience working with software applications such as Bentley ProjectWise.
  • Knowledge of Army GIS and IT directives, guidance, regulations and processes.
  • Experience using MicroStation or other similar programs.
  • Knowledge/Experience with user interfaces and interactive deliverables.
  • Knowledge/experience of hardware and software maintenance for Windows systems
  • Experience working in highly structured organizations, such as government agencies, the military or corporations, with established lines of authority, procedures, and protocols.
