DJ's Construction, Inc. is a locally owned, family-operated general contracting company established in 2006. We specialize in custom homes, residential additions, renovations, ADUs (Ohana units), and remodeling projects throughout Oahu.

We are currently seeking an experienced, dependable Journeyman Carpenter to join our team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has strong residential construction experience, and can complete assigned tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform rough and finish carpentry on residential construction projects.
• Frame walls, floors, roofs, decks, and other structural components.
• Install doors, windows, trim, siding, and other finish materials.
• Build and install stairs, railings, and custom carpentry features.
• Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and measurements.
• Perform renovations, additions, and remodeling work.
• Identify construction issues and communicate effectively with the project supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Work independently and collaboratively with other trades.
• Complete assigned work with quality, accuracy, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on residential carpentry experience preferred.
• Strong experience in both rough framing and finish carpentry.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans.
• Experience with stairs, decks, railings, and residential renovations is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have basic carpentry hand tools.
• Must have reliable transportation to job sites throughout Oahu.
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding construction work safely.
• Must be punctual, professional, and able to work well with others.
