HR Representative - The Islander Group – Mililani, HI

We are The Islander Group, Hawaii`s premier wholesale distribution company, and we are looking to add an HR Representative to support our growing team. This position works closely with internal managers and employees to maintain consistent, compliant, and efficient HR operations across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact with our Professional Employer Organization (PEO); build a strong partner relationship with PEO Account Manager
• Validating/ transmitting payroll, benefits and other HR-related documents to PEO
• Posting and refreshing job listings
• Screening resumes/ candidate evaluation; scheduling in-person interviews with hiring managers
• Supporting onboarding, including paperwork coordination, background checks, etc., and communication leading up to the first day
• Maintaining confidential employee files and compliance documentation
• Preparing and maintaining HR-related reports; providing general HR-related support

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple open tasks and timelines without follow-up
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
• High level of discretion when handling confidential information
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365
• Experience with HR, recruiting coordination, or administrative support preferred
