Job Overview

Tax staff accountant is responsible for preparing multiple tax projects in order to provide quality tax services and deliverables for our clients. 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare various tax returns – individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
• Ensure accurate, timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns
• Manage client information requests and deliverables
• Keep track of deadlines and deliverables for multiple clients
• Organize financial records for clients
• Prepare payments, necessary paperwork, and documentation for clients
• Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports
• Assess and research tax issues to identify solutions
• Provide support on special tax projects and initiatives
• Collaborate with staff, clients, and management
• Be familiar and keep up-to-date with tax codes, regulations, changes, and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, and reading professional publications

Key Skills and Experience Required

• Bachelor`s degree in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• CPA license or on track for CPA certificate and license
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-starter with a strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work well within teams as well as individually
• Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook; knowledge of Prosystem fx Tax a plus
