Mutual Underwriters is a family owned kamaaina firm and has been in business since 1996.  Our Wailuku office is seeking a self-starter and customer focused individual who is interested in starting a career in the Insurance Industry.   Education and training for Insurance license will be provided and paid for.  In addition, we offer medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage, paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, and retirement.

Primary Duties

• Responsible for managing and maintaining assigned accounts.
• Respond to inquiries and pro-actively reach out to clients periodically for updates to their account.
• Prepare proposals and quotes for additional insurance needs.
• Contact the appropriate insurance carriers to update client records and/or to obtain answers for client questions.

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm.
• The ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and prioritize work on a daily basis.
• Be highly organized and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.  Bachelor`s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Prior customer service and sales experience highly desired.
• Experience working with computers and various Microsoft applications.

Schedule

On-site, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
