Director of Communications

Salary Range:  $90,000 - $ 95,000

Full-time Exempt

Reports to: President & CEO

We`re seeking a strategic and creative communicator to serve as our Director of Communications. This role leads all aspects of public relations, media outreach, and audience engagement, managing the station`s brand voice across a variety of platforms, including social media, press releases, our monthly program guide, and e-newsletters.

Key responsibilities include overseeing public information, media relations, and strategic messaging; writing and managing press releases, promotional materials, and advertising campaigns; and leading our social media and digital engagement strategy. The Director will also manage the production of our program guide, e-newsletters, and other promotional content; purchase and evaluate external media placements; and develop and manage the department's budget and reporting. Additionally, this role supports organizational leadership with communications strategy and planning.

Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor`s degree or equivalent in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field, and have at least five years of experience in media, public affairs, or community engagement. Strong writing, editing, and content development skills are essential, as is knowledge of advertising, media buying, and campaign analysis. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and collaboration abilities.
