Transportation Security Officer: Airport

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic government airport location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support travelers and staff through strong customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements:

• 18+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public access areas, parking locations, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, restricted areas, and pedestrian traffic, assisting with badge checks, directional support, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or unattended property.
• Support security-related operations at a government location by following post orders, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting with crowd management during busy travel periods and/or special situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
