This role supports organizational planning functions across deliberate, crisis action, and contingency environments—leading Operational Planning Teams, drafting orders, integrating emerging capabilities, and advising on consequential planning efforts in the federal space. Candidates must be TS/SCI eligible. Salary: $110,000–$130,000 annually. Location: Honolulu, HI. Must be within commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation assistance available).ResponsibilitiesLead Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) through deliberate, crisis action, and contingency planning using MCPP or equivalent joint planning processesSupport Crisis Action Planning Teams (CAPTs) and manage the transition from deliberate planning to executable contingency ordersDraft FRAGOs, WARNOs, and branch plans integrated with current operations and broader strategic objectivesApply expertise in force management, including force sourcing, allocation, and apportionment in complex operational environmentsIntegrate new and emerging capabilities (cyber, exercise planning) into existing and future operational frameworksReview and provide recommendations on high‑level operational plans, orders, and classified initiativesFacilitate briefings, capture meeting products, and maintain planning records in compliance with records‑management requirementsCoordinate planning tasks across functional groups to synchronize current and future operations under tight operational timelinesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant field6+ years of experience in operational planning, planning analysis, or a closely related functionDemonstrated application of structured planning processes (MCPP, JOPP, or equivalent) in support of strategic or operational objectivesProven ability to develop operational plans, draft orders, and coordinate across teams under real‑world timelinesStrong written and verbal communication skills with experience producing executive‑level briefings and analytic productsMust be TS/SCI eligible with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI accessPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Strategic Intelligence, National Security Studies, or a related disciplineExperience in joint, combined, or multi‑organizational planning environmentsWorking knowledge of operational art and design—framing competition, crisis, and contingency scenarios for senior decision‑makersFamiliarity with integrating cyber or other emerging capabilities into operational planning constructsExperience supporting contingency planning, crisis action planning, or large‑scale training exercisesCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $110,000–$130,000 annuallyComprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k)Professional development and advanced training opportunitiesEqual Opportunity Employer StatementK2 is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
