Description:

ResponsibilitiesServe as the Action Officer responsible for managing operational requirements for a Joint Engineer staff, including task oversight, operational planning, joint exercise preparation. Represent the Joint Engineer in meetings and ensure timely execution of assigned actions. Provide in‑depth technical expertise in Joint Engineer operations to analyze orders and support deliberate, contingency, and crisis planning. Offer guidance to Operational Planning Groups, Boards, Bureaus, Centers, Cells, and Working Groups. Draft, coordinate, and secure approval for operations orders and plans for subordinate commands, external partners, and INDOPACOM staff. Participate in joint planning initiatives and operate independently with minimal oversight.Required Qualifications5+ years of experience supporting military engineer operations5+ years of experience supporting Joint military operations3+ years of experience working in the Indo‑Pacific Command Area of Responsibility (AOR)Experience in mission planning with a military Operational Planning Team (OPT) or Joint Planning Group (JPG)Knowledge of service component relationships with higher level commands and subordinate task forcesAbility to conceptualize, develop, and staff courses of action through organization leadership to orchestrate employment of Joint Engineer capabilities throughout the AORTS/SCI clearanceBachelor's degreePreferred QualificationsExperience with joint planning to support Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) initiativesExperience with drafting Joint Orders, tasking orders, and operations ordersExperience as an Action Officer (AO)Ability to use groupware products, including Microsoft Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelMaster's degreeCompletion of JPME‑ICompletion of Military Education Level 4 such as at a Command and General Staff CollegeClearanceApplicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must have TS/SCI clearance.Compensation and BenefitsSalary range: $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
