Staff Personnel Security Specialist

You will serve as Staff Personnel Security Specialist responsible for all Personnel Security matters including evaluating sensitivity determination for each staff position, initiation and process of back investigation requests.

You will use the National Bureau Investigations System (NBIS) and Defense Information Security System (DISS) for U.S. Pacific Fleet military and civilian staff members, ensuring the information provided is complete and accurate.

You will be responsible for the management of U.S. Pacific Fleet Security Management Office (SMO) code in Defense Information Security System (DISS) to manage staff member security clearances.

You will conduct fingerprinting for staff members and prospective employees.

You will provide recommendations to Security Director for denying, revoking, suspending or restricting security clearances and subsequent appeals.

You will draft recommendations to policy based on command and fleet input into current or proposed personnel security systems.
