The Retail Assistant Manager supports efficient store operations through staff supervision, inventory oversight, and exceptional customer service to ensure a productive and positive shopping environment. The Retail Assistant Manager is responsible for reaching sales quotas and goals by performing the following duties:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssigns duties, schedules shifts and breaks, and ensures adequate floor coverageTrains and supervises staff on store policies and job dutiesOrders and inspects merchandise, supplies, and equipmentTracks deliveries, check for accuracy and reports discrepanciesEnsures items are properly stocked, priced, and displayedEnsures accuracy in sales, cash handling, and daily depositsHandles complaints and returns professionallyAssist with customer service and sales as neededCommunicates regularly with the Store Manager, Sales Leads, Production Supervisor, and Director of Operations/RetailFollow all company and safety policiesPerform other duties as assignedEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEOne year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
