This role involves training staff, enforcing service standards, and coordinating with other airport departments to ensure seamless operations. You will address complex issues and ensure passenger satisfaction and compliance with airport and regulatory standards are key aspects of this position.RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise the daily operations and activities of the wheelchair service teamEnsure efficient scheduling of wheelchair attendants across various airport terminalsMonitor safety protocols and guidelines in wheelchair handling and passenger assistanceTrain and mentor wheelchair attendants on best practices and customer service excellenceManage and resolve any operational challenges or passenger complaints related to wheelchair servicesConduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team membersCollaborate with airport authorities and airline staff to coordinate seamless service deliveryOversee the maintenance, availability, and proper functioning of wheelchairs and mobility aidsManaging and supervising compliance of ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) regulations and airport/customer policiesDevelop strategies to improve service efficiency, response time, and passenger experiencePrepare and analyze reports on wheelchair service operations, including usage statistics and attendant productivityFoster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional developmentCoordinate emergency response procedures involving wheelchair passengers when necessaryWork closely with HR for recruitment, training, and management of wheelchair service personnelEffectively supervise staffing and resources for the wheelchair service departmentExemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standardsPerform any additional duties as assigned by managementQUALIFICATIONS18 years of age or olderMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employmentCommunicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)Proven ability to supervise teams effectively and handle challenging situationsMinimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within customer service or airport operationsAbility to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including use of electronic devices including iPads/Tablets, computers, and mobile devicesEffectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic meansPass a background check and drug screenEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal—as applicable)Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidaysPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to lift up to 70 poundsProlonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicableMay need to reach with arms and grasp with handsMay need to push, pullMay need to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined, tight spacesMay need to bend, stretch, squat, kneelExposure to moderate and at times high noise levelsBe able to hear and respond to spoken voice and audible alarmsTasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands, and/or fingersSpecific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)The pay rate listed on this post is what the company reasonably expects to pay for this position.
