IntroductionWe are looking for Team Members who will be part of our growing Ohana!BenefitsStarting rate of no less than $19.00/hr PLUS a $1.50/hr night shift and weekend differentialMedical, drug & vision and dental coverage for employeesGroup life insuranceHealth and dependent care flexible spending accountsPaid time off401(K) with company matchTuition reimbursement programCareer advancement within the companyVarious incentive programsResponsibilitiesResponsible for driving to and from designated locations, transporting soiled linen and delivering clean linen products to hotel customers, while verifying loads and adhering to state and federal regulations.Conduct pre & post trip inspection of truckAssist dispatchers and weighmasters by positioning carts in appropriate area and covering cart with plasticLoad clean linen into trucks, checking to ensure accuracy of load against delivery ticketDrive truck to specified customer locations and unload clean linen carts, interacting with hotel staffCommunicate customer concerns or complaints promptly to production or logistics manager on dutyComplete trip sheet to reflect all stops, number of carts delivered, and number of carts retrievedReport all mechanical issues, accidents and/or incidents involving drivers or company equipmentPromptly report any delays to supervisor/manager relating to pick‑up or delivery of load, (breakdowns, weather or traffic)Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operations of a commercial motor vehicleProfessional representation of the company and the trucking industry through responsible driving and appearanceDrivers must comply with all customers' safety and delivery requirementsAbility to pass a drug testQualifications and Minimum RequirementsMust possess a valid driver's licenseHigh school diploma (or equivalent) a mustEffective written and verbal communication skills in EnglishExceptional customer service is mandatoryJob Specific SkillsMinimum 2 years of experience driving a commercial truckMust be able to follow maps or directions to meet destination in a safe and efficient mannerAble to understand and complete basic mathWork HoursMorning or evening shift availableMay include working on the weekends or during holidaysPhysical and Mental RequirementsAssigned duties are accomplished primarily driving the truck and in an industrial settingAble to operate truck lift gate and back‑up trucks correctly and safely into tight placesAble to push/pull cars loaded with linen weighing approximately up to 700 poundsMay be at an industrial setting with heat/cold and distracting noise levelsJob Location2291 Alahao Place, Honolulu, Hawaii 96819Wage InformationThe wage is no less than $19.00 per hour. Overtime pay starts at $28.50 per hourA higher rate than $19.00 may be offered; the overtime rate will be calculated 1.5× the offered hourly rateEmployees who work 5:00 pm onwards on weekdays or anytime on the weekends will receive an additional $1.50 shift differential on top of their hourly rateOur company's pay period starts on a Sunday and ends on a SaturdayOur payroll period is weekly, and workers are paid on the following Thursday after the end of the pay periodRate increases and/or bonuses may be offered at the company's discretion, based on individual factors such as performance, skill and tenureThe company will make deductions from the worker's paycheck as required by law.
