Part-Time, Non-tenurial, pending availability of funds, and actual staffing requirements. This includes Early College. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses in the Discipline and/or Interdisciplinary Studies
  • Maintain minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
  • Prepare course syllabus and reports related to teaching and student progress.
  • Work under supervision of department chairperson in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in the discipline area.
  • Duties and responsibilities may include work with multi-media presentations and distance education instruction.

Minimum Qualifications

  • As listed, all minimum qualifications must be from institutions accredited by recognized US agencies and met by the effective date of appointment. COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER: (a) Master's in any field and 2 years of experience in developing and delivering community health education program; or (b) Master's in a health-related field, of which 15 credits are in Community Health; or (c) Bachelor's in any field and 5 years of experience in developing and delivering community health education programs. Or (d) Bachelor's in a health-related field, of which 15 credits are in Community Health and 3 years of experience in developing & delivering community health education programs.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Teaching experience at community college level.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with adult learners.
  • Familiarity with competency-based instruction and behavioral objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experience in curriculum development.
