Joint Fires Electromagnetic Warfare Planner

Amentum is seeking an experienced and versatile Joint Fires Electromagnetic Warfare Planner to provide research, analysis, and rapid plans support to address new and emerging situations and threats across the Indo-Pacific in support of U.S Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM). This position is located at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support the Joint Fires Division in the Operations Directorate in the integration of Electromagnetic Warfare into planning efforts.
  • Provide assistance to senior-level strategic planning and briefings, including preparing formal papers and background information for USINDOPACOM senior leader consumption.
  • Provide research and analysis of various EW related national security policies, military strategies, and capability integration that support USINDOPACOM operations and exercises.
  • Have the experience and knowledge to support Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO) that will ensure freedom of action and mission assurance in all domains throughout the Indo-Pacific.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of documented Electromagnetic Warfare experience in lieu of degree.
  • At least 10 years' combined experience in Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) operations, capability development and/or policy.
  • At least 3 years' experience at a Combatant Command or Service Component HQ.
  • At least 3 years' experience in the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations (AOR).
  • Experience with targeting and joint fires in order to assist USINDOPACOM in developing, coordinating, and executing EW operations as part of the management and execution of the targeting plans and joint fires/effects within the Indo-Pacific AOR.
  • Familiar with INDOPACOM Theater Campaign Plan (TCP), Deliberate and Crisis Action Plans, and Operations Plans (OPLANS).
  • Experience in writing reports, graphics and information papers.
  • Experience analyzing operational data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products and SharePoint collaborative tools.
  • Knowledge and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools in support of government client objectives (e.g. *GPT, GenAI, AskSage, MAVEN, python, etc.).
  • Must have an active Top-Secret clearance and be SCI eligible. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree and/or attendance as Service Command and General Staff College.
  • Experience coordinating with other Department of Defense (DoD) entities, including the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense and INDOPACOM's Service Components.
  • Graduate of Joint Electromagnetic Warfare Theater Operations Course.
  • Graduate of Joint Targeting Staff Course.

Compensation & Benefits

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $145K - $160K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
