OverviewThis posting is to fill Social Worker positions that provide services to students at various schools within the Honolulu District as needed and assigned by the Honolulu District Administration Office. The authorized level of the position is Social Worker IV; applications may be accepted down to Social Worker II if recruiting difficulties arise.SalarySocial Worker II (SR‑18): $4,713.57 – $5,738.45 per monthSocial Worker III (SR‑20): $5,094.56 – $6,205.68 per monthSocial Worker IV (SR‑22): $5,513.57 – $6,710.93 per monthResponsibilitiesSeek to improve the overall quality of life of people within the context of their environment through remediation and prevention of problems.Improve accessibility, accountability and coordination of service delivery among a variety of professionals and/or agencies tasked with providing appropriate services to clients.Establish working relationships of mutual respect and trust with the clientele served.Utilize a variety of helping interventions to enable these clients to function as effectively as possible.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's or master's degree in social work from an accredited program, or a doctoral degree in social work from an accredited institution. Must be able to write clear reports, interpret complex material, and solve complex problems logically.Experience: Progressive responsibility in professional work experience involving identification and evaluation of client problems, development and implementation of service plans, monitoring services, and evaluating client progress. Minimum experience requirements: Social Worker II – 0 years; Social Worker III – 1 year; Social Worker IV – 2 years.Specialized Experience: Experience helping individuals and families identify problems, cope with conditions, and function effectively.
