Clinical Responsibilities

- Patient Intake: Interview patients to record medical history and measure vital signs like blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature.
- Exam Assistance: Prepare patients for examinations and assist doctors during physical or minor surgical procedures.
- Laboratory Work: Collect, prepare, and process biological specimens (like blood or urine) for laboratory testing.
- Treatments: Administer medications, give injections, remove sutures, and apply or change wound dressings under a physician's direct supervision.
- Sterilization: Clean and sterilize medical instruments and sanitize examination rooms between patients.
- Scheduling: Book patient appointments, manage the daily clinic calendar, and arrange for outside lab tests or hospital stays.
- Record Keeping: Update and maintain Electronic Medical Records (EMR) with personal details, visit notes, and test results.
- Front Office: Greet patients, answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and verify patient insurance coverage.
- Inventory Management: Monitor medical and office supply levels, restock rooms, and place orders as needed.
