Network Engineer

Must possess a TS/SCI clearance. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world challenges on a cross-functional, fast paced team. Responsibilities include the design and development of voice, video, and/or data communications networks. The role involves analyzing voice, video, and/or data communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, concentrators, bridges, and other devices. The position also requires planning network layouts and configuring systems to user environments, analyzing network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements, supporting the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed, providing technical support and troubleshooting to users, performing network administration duties, providing guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network personnel, and maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

Required qualifications include 5+ years of directly related experience in network engineering, a BA/BS in a related field with additional experience substituting for degree, TS/SCI clearance, compliance with 8570/8140, a valid Cisco CCNA certification, comprehensive knowledge of network analysis and design principles, methods, and techniques, comprehensive knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software, and comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications.

Preferred qualifications include CCNP, Juniper route/switch knowledge, knowledge and experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting type-1 encryptors, and knowledge and experience with CUCM and VOIP administration.
