Location: Honolulu, HI Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000

Summary: Position shall be a direct report to the assigned Project Manager and provide timely and direct feedback related to schedule, required materials, coordination of other trades, and daily issues as they occur. Responsible for overall quality and craftsmanship of assignments in accordance with specifications, client expectations, and respective trade/craft requirements. Responsibilities also include coordinating with other project team mates, and subcontractors. In addition, candidate shall identify, analyze, and develop improvements in productivity, scheduling of trades, client relationships, and customer service as they relate to the DAWSON's total management system.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Candidate must provide all basic hand tools necessary to carry out assignments.
  • Evaluates specifications for plan procedures, start and completion dates, and staffing requirements for each phase of the construction project
  • Provides Estimating and Scheduling support for daily/weekly productivity and look ahead schedules
  • Identify all change conditions/RFI's during course of work in conjunction with Project Manager.
  • Support Government inspections and sign-offs and complete repairs in a timely manner.
  • Supervise site personnel, including field engineering, quality and administrative roles.
  • Manage and coordinate all DAWSON subcontractors on site.
  • Ensure that construction equipment is properly serviced and used.
  • Ensure that permanent equipment is properly stored and maintained consistent with manufacturers' instructions and good warehousing practices.
  • Ensure that adequate labor force is assigned to the project with the proper training, education, experience, skills, tools, equipment and materials to complete the construction and minimize potential impacts to the environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Journeyman Level recognition in skill set or specialty trade Example Concrete, Masonry, Electrical, Plumbing, Framing, Dry Wall, Painting, Doors, Windows, and/or Millwork
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a direct trade;
  • Cross training and certifications in other construction specialties a plus
  • Ability to obtain OSHA 30-hour certification, current certification a plus
  • Ability to read and understand engineering design drawings, specifications, and applicable technical instructions, plans and reports.
  • Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and other applicable programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Occasionally work in high, precarious places
  • Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals
  • Occasionally exposure to outside weather conditions
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
  • The employee must occasionally lift and /or move more than 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus
