US Department of Defense - - Responsibilities: Provide advisory services to the Distribution Center Commander/Director, Deputy Director, operational managers, and functional area personnel for all facets of the security programs.; Oversees planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring of the activity security programs.; Oversees and manages the personnel security program for the activity.; Performs personnel security duties pertaining to personnel clearances for both employees and contractors and applies agency regulations regarding the types of background investigations needed.; Develops, reviews, and revises local operating instructions to provide guidelines on security matters and implements installation, higher headquarters, and Federal regulations.
