Job Details

The Accounting Associate is responsible for supporting the accuracy and integrity of the credit union's financial records. This role prepares and posts journal entries, reconciles and analyzes general ledger accounts, and researches discrepancies to ensure timely resolution. This position also assists with preparing financial statements, schedules, and other financial reports within established deadlines. Additionally, the Accounting Associate supports the development and maintenance of departmental procedures to promote consistency, efficiency, and compliance. Position Details Part-time, 20 hours per week Temporary, 1-year term assignment Qualifications/ Experience High school graduate or equivalent. 0-2 years of related experience in Finance or the equivalent. Required Knowledge Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Skills/ Abilities Intermediate skill level with Excel and Microsoft Word. Familiar with Microsoft Outlook.
