Lead environmental programs that protect public health and preserve our island resources! The Department of Environmental Services (ENV) is hiring an Assistant Program Administrator (Assistant Chief of Environmental Quality). This leadership role supports the management, direction, and daily operations of the division, with a focus on administering regulatory programs in compliance with applicable environmental laws, regulations, and procedures. The position oversees and coordinates a wide range of environmental programs, including National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), Underground Injection Control (UIC), water quality, biological monitoring, ocean current measurement, source control (pretreatment), air permitting, underground storage tanks, and other related initiatives.
