Manager, Clinical Data/Medical Science (Remote - NA only)Syneos Health provides integrated life sciences services across the drug development continuum.Job ResponsibilitiesOverall, the role will be responsible for three primary performance areas:Customer Delivery and SuccessWorks closely with the FSP Lead to ensure the team provides quality deliverables and meets customer expectations.Manages performance and daily activities of multifunctional team members to excel in service delivery and compliance with agreed‑upon KPIs; develops and executes mitigation and remediation plans for non‑compliance as needed.Proactively communicates and manages customer issues through assigned escalation channels.Business ImpactDrives revenue by attracting, selecting and retaining the right talent.Attends and participates in FSP360 account meetings as well as regional management team meetings and Town Halls.People LeadershipProvides line management to FSP360 team members.Responsible for active management of team members' performance through the established Syneos Health process, including goal setting, mid‑year reviews, year‑end evaluations and implementation of performance improvement plans as necessary.Verifies that team members adhere to training guidelines, maintains training records, and identifies and addresses training needs.Provides administrative oversight (HR processes, timecards, expense reports).Reviews workload and utilization for all team members.Supports team members' professional development through coaching, providing opportunities to increase knowledge and skill levels, and delegating tasks commensurate with skill level; supports and advocates for development of Individual Development Plans.Ensures team engagement, retention, and turnover rates remain within expected levels and recognizes team members while encouraging accountability.Demonstrates commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion by continuously developing all staff, modeling inclusive behaviors and proactively managing bias.EligibilityThis role is open to people in the US or Canada who do not require sponsorship.RequirementsMinimum of five years of progressive clinical research experience (preferred) and experience in line management of clinical research staff.Bachelor's degree in life sciences, nursing, or equivalent related experience, plus extensive clinical research experience in a contract research organization, pharmaceutical or biotechnology company, including some time in a leadership capacity or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, both written and spoken, with an ability to inform, influence, convince, and persuade.Strong time management, technical and organizational skills; ability to work independently and within a team environment.Creative problem‑solver who is self‑motivated, flexible, open to change, collaborative, and possesses a customer‑centric mindset.Knowledge of basic financial concepts related to forecasting and budgeting.Good computer skills and ability to embrace new technologies.BenefitsBenefits for this position may include a company car or car allowance, health benefits (medical, dental, vision), company match 401(k), eligibility to participate in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan, eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and individual performance, and flexible paid time off (PTO) and sick time.
