US Department of Defense - - Responsibilities: Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) checks and services on medical patient care equipment, including visual inspections, operational checks, electrical safety inspections, calibration, and performance verification.; Operate a wide variety of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), including invasive and non-invasive devices, and understand, operate, and interpret specialized TMDE used to support complex equipment and systems.; Perform software diagnostics to determine whether failures originate from software or hardware, and correct system software or application program malfunctions.; Set up and install new medical patient care equipment systems.; Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, overhauls, and surveillance testing of electronic components, medical equipment, and systems, including modifications based on official guidance.
