Ground Systems Engineer, Earth-Based Systems Developer, Ground Control Software Engineer, Terrestrial Platform Developer, Land Systems Software Engineer, Infrastructure Software Engineer, Surface Systems Developer, Ground Operations Engineer, Terrestrial Applications Engineer, Ground-Based Systems Specialist, etc.

Bachelor's Degree

Software Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, Environmental Engineering, Physics, etc.

Most contracts allow additional experience (4-5 years) in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. Some contracts give 4-5 years experience credit for a Bachelor's Degree. Some contracts give 2 years experience credit for a Master's Degree. We will work with you to find the right fit.

Develop and maintain terrestrial software systems

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Design and implement system-level software

Ensure software reliability and performance

Optimize ground-based operational workflows

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues

Proficiency in system-level programming

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Experience with software testing tools

Knowledge of real-time systems

Familiarity with version control systems

Ability to write clean and efficient code

Familiarity with ground-based infrastructure systems

Knowledge of cloud-based platforms

Experience in system integration

Understanding of cybersecurity principles

Background in hardware-software interaction

Exposure to agile development methodologies
