A company is looking for an Inpatient Hospital Coder.Key ResponsibilitiesCodes and abstracts medical records of inpatients following established conventions and guidelinesGroups codes to determine diagnosis-related groupings (DRGs-CMS and/or APR)Reviews medical records to determine physicians' diagnoses/procedures and assigns ICD-10CM/PCS codesRequired QualificationsFormal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years of college)One (1) to three (3) years of experienceCertifications: CCS or CCA with 5+ years of experience, or RHIT or RHIA
