Pool technician also serve as support for Recreation team and water attractions safety and excellent guest service.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety of Guests, may be a first responder to emergency situationsMust be able to understand and measure pool water quality requirements; work with chemicals to assist with upkeep of pool water and cleanlinessAbility to safely work with and store hazardous chemicalsMust be mechanically inclined; verifying the equipment in the pump room is functioning correctly, ability to work in a loud environmentPartner with Engineering/Maintenance regarding pump maintenanceEnforce policies, rules and regulations of the Recreation locations

Basic Qualifications

Upon successful completion of training and become Certified Pool Operator or certified Aquatic Facility Operator.Strong written and verbal communication skills able to positively engage with Guests, team members and managementMust be able to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining qualityResponsible, mature, energetic and comfortable giving and taking feedbackAbility to work well under pressureMust pass respiratory physical and fit test for respirator.Frequent walking/standing/pushing/pullingRegular heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.Frequent bending/twisting and kneelingFrequent use of handsMust work outdoors getting wet in an open water environment, in all types of weather; sometimes exposed to extreme heat/humidity and/or cold.Vision and hearing must be normal range to conduct chemical color testing and hear the sound of guests and the team member.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in a Recreation or Resort environmentPrevious pool chemist or pool technician experienceKnowledge of Hawaiian/Japanese language preferred

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTYOur Resort operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 4:00 AM and vary as needed.
