DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS - HAWAII

is a boutique DMC that delivers innovative and custom-designed incentive and corporate programs across the United States. This is an opportunity to join our growing team in Hawaii as we are looking for a senior operations leader to own our end-to-end delivery across the Islands and lead our local team.

This role is ideal for an experienced DMC operations leader who knows the Hawaii market intimately, is calm under pressure, and can build and scale a high-performing operations team.

Location

Based on any of the Hawaiian Islands

Hybrid role with regular onsite presence at programs and client / supplier meetings across the Islands

What you'll own

• Overall leadership of Hawaii operations: capacity planning, resource allocation, and flawless delivery of all programs in-market.

• End-to-end program delivery: you will also manage your own events through hands-on project management, including from concept design with Sales to pre-planning, supplier management and onsite execution.

• Operational strategy: design and continuously improve processes, tools, and standards that ensure consistent, high-quality execution across all Hawaii programs.

• People leadership: lead, coach, and develop the Hawaii operations team, set clear expectations, and foster a culture of accountability, service, and innovation.

• Commercial performance: own program budgets and financial performance for Hawaii, oversee pricing inputs, margins, supplier contracts, and program profitability.

• Senior client and supplier relationships: act as a key point of contact for strategic clients and hotel/supplier partners in Hawaii, supporting sales in winning and retaining key accounts.

• Onsite excellence: provide senior oversight for complex programs, including presence onsite for key movements and high-touch events.

• Risk and quality management: anticipate issues, manage escalation, and ensure health, safety, and compliance standards are met across all programs.

• Collaboration: partner closely with the CEO and Sales & Operations leadership on growth plans, new product development, and market strategy for Hawaii

What you bring

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a

  senior DMC operations role

  , overseeing multiple programs and teams; strong preference for Hawaii incentive/MICE experience.

• Deep understanding of the incentive/MICE market and the unique operational landscape, partners, and logistics of Hawaii.

• Proven ability to run multiple complex programs at once, process large volumes of information, and keep sight of small but critical details.

• Proven track record leading operations teams, developing talent, and building a culture of high performance and accountability.

• Strong commercial acumen: confident with P&L levers, pricing, supplier negotiations, and program profitability, with strong budgeting and reporting skills, including managing program budgets to profitability.

• Exceptional stakeholder skills: credible with senior clients, hotel partners, and suppliers; able to influence, negotiate, and resolve issues calmly under pressure.

• Highly organized, with the ability to oversee multiple complex programs concurrently and still sweat the small but critical details.?

• Comfort in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where you balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery when required.
