Your Role in Effective Care

• Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic evaluations, and crafting tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues either independently or in partnership with physicians (as per credentialing)
• Providing education to patients and families about prevention, wellness, and effective disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies within established guidelines

Educational Pathway

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Required

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Hawaii
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or relevant specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or commitment to secure within 90 days)
