Marine Painter and Marine Laborer

We are urgently seeking skilled Marine Painters and Marine Laborers to join our team supporting high-priority U.S. Navy corrosion mitigation and ship repair projects in Hawaii. This is an immediate-start opportunity that will continue through the end of the fiscal year, directly contributing to NAVSEA corrosion mitigation and composite component installation efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Perform painting, touch-ups, and preservation on shipboard structures.
  • Sand, grind, surface prep, mask, chip, and clean as required.
  • Assist technicians with coating application and material handling.
  • Work aboard ships, piers, dry docks, and industrial marine facilities.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and NAVSEA standards.
  • Complete assignments on schedule in a high-tempo environment.
Essential Skills
  • DBIDS access or ability to obtain immediately.
  • Shipboard painting experience (2+ years preferred).
  • Ability to perform preservation, coating, sanding, prepping, and masking on Navy vessels.
  • Ability to work safely in confined/industrial marine spaces.
  • Immediate availability for deployment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience with marine coatings, confined space entry, and tank preservation.
  • Prior shipyard, ship repair, or industrial/manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items.
  • OSHA-10 or OSHA-Shipyard certification.
  • Experience working on CVNs, DDGs, LCS, or Amphib platforms.

Work Environment

Work in a Navy shipboard and shipyard industrial environment with high-tempo project-driven schedules. Standard hours with frequent overtime opportunities. PPE is required and provided. Work is performed in confined spaces, heights, and active industrial areas, within a team-based environment with onsite supervision.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Pearl City, HI.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
