Manage all administration, labor, material, and company assets on assigned projects within the AE Construction Mission.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Communication with Leadman/Foreman/General Foreman
  • Overall project performance
  • Client relationship - Provide value to our clients
  • Contract review and development of budget
  • Project objectives, policies, procedures
  • Manage change orders
  • Maintain project logs and schedules
  • Monitor construction activities with Foreman to ensure project is on schedule, in compliance with the contract documents, and within budget
  • Represent American Electric
  • Prepare monthly financial reports
  • Manage procurement and subcontractors
  • Enforce AE company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Read and interpret instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, and written instructions
  • Able to identify issues and help come up with solutions with Foreman/General Foreman
  • Train and develop project support staff providing growth opportunities
  • Ensure timely payment
  • Financial Project budget
  • Safety Quantity of lost time incidents, AE safety audit score

Supervisory responsibilities include but are not limited to Project Engineer, Foreman.

Education and/or experience: previous experience on projects of comparable size and scope of work.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Financial Projects meet or beat budget
  • Safety No lost time incidents, AE safety audit score at or above desired rating
  • Client relations Promoter NPS, client recommendation letter

Certificates, licenses, registrations: none required.

Physical demands: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be able to occasionally stand; walk; sit; use hands and/or fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; operate office equipment, reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.

No travel is anticipated for this position. Work environment: general office environment.
