This position is responsible for ensuring that the assigned department is maintained in accordance with the company standards, including coaching and developing team members, customers receive prompt friendly and thorough service while maintaining adequate levels of inventory, pricing and stocking of merchandise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain frequent physical presence on sales floor

• Demonstrate proper use of merchandise as requested by customer

• Maintain a clean and orderly work space for the assigned department

• Maintain inventory in department

• Oversee and supervise all team members within assigned department

• Conduct store orientations, store meetings, general informational meetings for team members, and training sessions

• Assist in training team members

• Provide assistance to cashiers as needed

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal communication and listening skills

• Excellent customer service and telephone skills

• Ability to train, evaluate and take appropriate action with subordinates

• Ability to operate industrial equipment such as forklift, paint machine, tape rule, box cutter, chain/wire cutter, screw driver

• Ability to work with mathematical concepts and problem solving

• Organized and attentive to detail

Requirements:

• High school diploma

• Three (3) years retail experience; hardware/home improvement preferred

• Two (2) years supervisory experience
