Remote Mortgage UnderwriterLocation: 100% RemoteOverviewWe are seeking experienced Mortgage Underwriters to join our team. This role is critical in evaluating loan applications, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality underwriting decisions. With multiple openings available, we are looking for dedicated professionals who are eager to contribute long-term.ResponsibilitiesReview and assess loan files submitted by broker clients for compliance with FHA, VA, and conventional lending guidelines.Collaborate with loan structure and income teams to finalize approvals.Perform thorough credit analysis and process final approval files daily.Ensure loans meet investor guidelines and adhere to quality control standards (FHA UW, HUD UW, VA UW, VA IRRL, VA SAR, TrumsID Registration).Maintain compliance and mitigate risk throughout the underwriting process.QualificationsMinimum 3 years of frontline originations underwriting experience (loss mitigation or servicing underwriting experience does not qualify).Knowledge on ConventionalFHA/DE Certified or SAR/LAPP Certs is a plus but not requiredExperience with Encompass and proficiency in Excel preferred.Familiarity with FHA, HUD, VA, VA IRRL, VA SAR, and TrumsID Registration processes.SkillsMortgage underwritingCredit analysisFHA, VA, and Conventional loan guidelinesRisk assessment and complianceWhy Join Us?100% remote workOpportunity to work on diverse loan products and complex underwriting scenarios.Competitive compensation and benefits package.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
