Program duration: 9 weeks (June 1, 2026 - July 31, 2026)

Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

JOB SUMMARY

An internship designed to provide on-the-job training and experience to college students. Engages in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity, structured to enable the intern to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform at an entry to mid-entry level position. Receives training and mentorship in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.

Position will actively support and participate in the planning, development, implementation, testing, monitoring, and review of the credit union's information security and security programs to protect information/physical assets and mitigate risks for unauthorized access, disclosure, and misuse. Participates and supports Information Security Governance requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures appropriate security controls are in place, configured, and properly monitored and maintained to safeguard digital content, assets, and vital electronic infrastructure.
  • Works closely with the Information Security Analysts and Director in support of APFCU enterprise security risk and all related security measures and disciplines.
  • Assists in maintaining and monitoring overall security of the credit union's network, systems, and data.
  • Trains users and promotes security awareness to ensure systems are secure across the enterprise.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school graduate or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit as applicable and approved.
  • 3rd or 4th year college student
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)


Credit must be in good standing. Must be bondable pursuant to ยง713.3(b) of the NCUA's Rules and Regulations.
