Job Summary: The Data and AI DevOps Engineer II designs, builds, enhances, and supports full stack applications for production systems and skunkworks initiatives. This role emphasizes execution, ownership, and problem-solving, working closely with architects and senior engineers to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions. The position supports both core product development and marketing-driven initiatives and may be performed remotely, in a hybrid arrangement, or on-site depending on team needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Next.js (frontend) and Node.js (backend)
Implement and consume APIs, including authentication and authorization mechanisms
Build user interfaces using Tailwind CSS and modern CSS best practices
Integrate AI capabilities (e.g., calling LLM or machine learning APIs and implementing prompt-driven features)
Use basic SQL to query data, perform joins, and troubleshoot data-related issues
Own assigned features end-to-end from initial investigation through implementation and defined support/hand-off
Rapidly prototype new concepts and evolve them into production-quality solutions
Deploy, operate, and support applications hosted in Microsoft Azure
Troubleshoot application, integration, and operational issues as they arise
Provide development and integration support for marketing use cases leveraging Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and related Adobe tools (training provided)
Produce and maintain clear technical documentation in Confluence and related knowledge bases
Collaborate with architects, senior engineers, product teams, and stakeholders; participate in code reviews and continuous improvement
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline configuration and deployment scripts as part of defined build scope
Create/maintain build artifacts and technical documentation (implementation notes, configuration references) tied to deliverables
Execute and document initial test runs (smoke/integration) required for go-live readiness in coordination with QA
Participate in code reviews and address defects found during initial testing
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; or Associate degree with additional relevant professional experience; or High School Diploma/GED with additional relevant professional experience
Required Experience:
3-6 years of professional experience as a full stack developer
Experience with source control and modern CI/CD workflows
Ability to follow established engineering standards and produce clear implementation documentation
Required Skills (Minimum KSAs):
Strong modern JavaScript development (React/Next.js)
Backend development with Node.js
API authN/authZ (OAuth, JWT, token-based)
Tailwind CSS
Basic SQL (queries/joins/troubleshooting)
Experience deploying/supporting apps in Azure (preferred) or AWS
Exposure integrating AI/LLM services
Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion
Strong written communication for technical documentation
Working knowledge of scripting/programming for automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments
Prior exposure to Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) or other Adobe marketing tools
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native services, and operational best practices
Experience balancing experimental/skunkworks initiatives with production-quality delivery
Familiarity with automated testing and release readiness practices
Experience supporting internal analytics or AI platforms
