What You'll Do

The Residential Cleaning Associate provides high-quality cleaning and light household support services to maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment in private client homes and other assigned facilities. This role supports client well-being through consistent service, attention to detail, and safe cleaning practices, including proper disinfection and disposal procedures in compliance with bloodborne pathogen regulations.

This position is part of the Workforce Center, a dedicated team of employees who provide flexible staffing support across multiple communities. Workforce Center employees help ensure seamless coverage during vacations, extended leaves, and staffing shortages. This role is assignment-based and training will be provided.

Work Schedule
  • Full Time (40 hours per week) Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 5:00 pm (8 hours per day)
Pay Range
  • $17.50 - $18.30 Hourly
Responsibilities
  • Drive a company vehicle to client homes and other assigned locations in support of service delivery. Maintain the company vehicle, including cleaning, fueling, basic inspection, and general upkeep.
  • Provide housekeeping services for clients in accordance with client's care plans and instructions:
    • Cleans, disinfects, and properly dispose of bodily fluids according to bloodborne pathogen regulations and established safety protocols.
    • Wash, dry, and fold laundry.
    • Perform bed making, complete linen changes and replacement.
    • Clean assigned areas which may included lobbies, lounges, restrooms, lanais, corridors, elevators; client homes and other facilities.
    • Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum floors, clean rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture.
    • Dusts furniture and fixtures.
    • Wash windows and window treatment, clean sills, tracks, door panels
    • Empty and sanitize waste baskets; transport trash/wast to disposal area.
  • Communicate supply needs to the supervisor or designee; assist with stocking/restocking cleaning items as required.
  • Report maintenance needs or concerns observed in client homes/facilities to supervisor.
  • Comply with AFC policies and procedures related to: annual employee health screenings in accordance, safety protocols, compliance with corporate, state, and federal safety guidelines.
  • Exercises caution and good safety judgment in uncertain conditions or situations. Reports and/or corrects potential or actual hazards.
  • Respects and observes residents', clients', and participants' rights and privacy.
  • Other Duties:
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

Certification and Licensure

Valid Driver's License to drive in the State of Hawaii and clean driving abstract and Valid CPR and First Aid certification required
