As an IOM Technologist at MPOWERHealth, you are a critical part of that circle of care - monitoring the patient's brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves in real time, ready to act the moment something needs attention.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do: Protect Patients. Partner with Surgeons. Make a Difference.
Your Role in the Operating Room
Every case is different. Every patient is counting on you. Here's how you show up for them:
• Before the first incision, you meet with patients, review their history, and explain what neuromonitoring means for their safety. You are often their last reassuring voice before surgery begins.Patient Assessment:
• You are the eyes on the nervous system throughout the procedure - continuously reading electrophysiological data, spotting early warning signs, and alerting the surgical team in real time when it matters most.Intraoperative Monitoring:
• You work side-by-side with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff. Your communication and expertise directly influence surgical decisions and patient outcomes.Team Collaboration:
• You interpret complex waveforms, correlate findings with surgical events, and document everything with precision. Your records protect the patient long after they leave the OR.Data Integrity:
• You contribute to a culture of continuous improvement - helping make care better not just for today's patients, but for every patient who follows.Quality & Innovation:

Qualifications
This role is for experienced IOM professionals ready to step in and make an immediate impact:
• CNIM certified or CNIM-eligible
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
• Minimum 1 year of IONM experience
• Strong foundation in neuroanatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
• AHA CPR certified | Valid Driver's License
• A communicator and a collaborator - equally comfortable working independently or as part of a surgical team
Bonus Points
• Advanced degree in neuroscience or a related field
• Experience with advanced neuromonitoring modalities
What to Expect on the Job
This is an active, hands-on role in real surgical environments:
• You'll be on your feet - standing, moving, and staying sharp for extended periods
• You'll transport and set up equipment (up to 45 lbs)
• Schedule flexibility required, including on-call availability
• Exposure to OR environments; adherence to safety protocols is essential
