Description:

DPP is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Location: Partially onsite in Columbia, SC. Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and as needed.
Duration: 11 months; W2 position
Interviews: In person

Position summary:

  • The Business Systems Analyst II supports the analysis, documentation, and communication of business and system requirements for initiatives across commercial systems.
  • The BSA collaborates with stakeholders, system owners, and technical teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and align with established processes and system capabilities.
Required technology skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel.
  • Familiarity with project life cycle activities.
  • Understanding of Waterfall methodology.
Nice to have:
  • Experience with health or dental claims.
  • Data analysis background.
  • Knowledge of membership enrollment or billing systems.
Minimum required work experience:
  • 4 years of IT business analysis experience
  • Preferred: 4 years of job-related experience with government business and/or Client companies.
Key responsibilities:
  • Lead and facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
  • Document clear, concise requirements that are understandable to both business and technical audiences.
  • Contribute to design documentation, including acceptance criteria, assumptions, constraints, risks, and input related to testing.
  • Partner with IS and customer testing teams to help clarify requirements and support defect resolution (not hands-on testing).
  • Develop a strong working understanding of internal application systems to accurately represent customer needs and system capabilities.
Team environment:
  • Part of the Commercial Systems Design/BSA team (15 members, including two who support SSD work).
  • Engages in projects involving claims, membership, reporting, finance, data storage, vendor relationships, PBMs, and inter-plan coordination.
  • Collaborative, experienced team with strong knowledge sharing and open communication.
  • Supportive environment where team members feel comfortable raising questions or issues.
Required education/equivalencies:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other job-related degree;
  • OR, Associates degree in CS, Bus. Admin., or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
  • OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 8 years without a degree)
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other job related field
  • OR, 4 years of job related experience with government business and/or client companies.
