Join Our Team as the Director of Turbine Operations!

As part of the Data Center Infrastructure Operations / Facilities team, you'll directly contribute to the sustainability of OCI's performance and security while ensuring operational resilience. Role Overview

As the Director of Turbine Operations, you will be at the forefront of leading the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of turbine-based power generation assets that bolster OCI's energy resilience strategy. You will oversee operations across turbine plants, ensuring optimized lifecycle performance and regulatory compliance while achieving high availability of generation assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of turbine generation facilities to ensure safe and continuous power generation.
• Build and manage high-performing plant operations teams focused on turbine operations and reliability.
• Establish operational standards, procedures, and training programs for all personnel.
• Foster a culture of operational excellence and accountability across all generation sites.

Driving Reliability & Performance

• Ensure turbine assets consistently achieve high availability and reliability targets.
• Monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvement across all operations.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to refine preventative maintenance programs.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to enhance long-term asset performance.

Collaborative Cross-Functional Partnerships

• Work closely with operations, construction, and engineering teams on commissioning and integrating new turbine assets.
• Coordinate with site operations for alignment of plant generation with data center requirements.

Fuel & Commercial Strategy

• Support natural gas procurement and fuel supply agreements for steady plant operations.
• Review and manage power purchase agreements (PPAs) effectively.
• Engage with utilities and grid operators to ensure seamless generation capacity management.

Compliance, Safety & Governance

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Uphold stringent health and safety standards across all operations.
• Ensure adherence to environmental permits and operational reporting requirements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 15+ years of experience in power generation operations, preferably in gas turbine or combined cycle plants.
• Strong leadership experience in managing teams within mission-critical environments.
• In-depth understanding of turbine operations, controls, fuel systems, and reliability.
• Experience in supporting fuel procurement and PPAs.

• Proven leadership in managing complex generation operations.
