Position: Security Guard

Location: Honolulu, HI (Must have reliable transportation)

Pay: $20/hour

Experience: 1 year of security experience.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm or 10:00pm - 6:00am

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking a Security Guard to join a growing and dynamic team! In this role, you'll help maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring the property, managing traffic flow, and investigating any disturbances. Job Description:

1. Secure premises and personnel by patrolling the property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings and equipment, and controlling access points.
2. Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policies and procedures, and restraining trespassers when necessary and authorized.
3. Direct drivers and control traffic flow as needed.
4. Complete detailed reports documenting observations, incidents, and surveillance activity.
5. Maintain high visibility to deter illegal or inappropriate behavior.
6. Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
7. Provide courteous and professional assistance to clients, employees, and visitors.
8. Enforce client-specific rules, regulations, and procedures.
9. Liaise with emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) when required.
10. Adhere to all company service and operational standards.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

1. A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is required.
2. Must possess an active Act 208 Hawaii State Security Guard Card.
3. Strong customer service skills with a personable and professional demeanor.
4. Previous experience as a security guard or in a related position is preferred.
5. Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
6. Solid understanding of public safety and security procedures and protocols.
7. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
8. Positive, team-oriented attitude.
9. Strong observational and reporting abilities.
10. Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
