Routing Center Logistics Analyst

Description:

HYBRID ROLE BASED OUT OF OUR FAIRFIELD, OH OR NORCROSS, GA OFFICE. SHIFT TIME: 1PM-10PM

Job Purpose:

Our Router will be responsible for supporting the execution of Veritiv's daily routing and maintenance for our fleet of trucks. This position will ensure best in class service for our merchants by optimizing our logistics services to provide transportation solutions while continuously reducing transportation costs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Schedule division's deliveries, including transfers, to meet customer requirements.
• Determine routing assignments using Route Optimization Tool for maximum route efficiency.
• Effectively communicate with assigned division Logistics Managers to assess results and identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct regular analysis of delivery days, overlapping routes, and overall delivery performance.
• Offer viable route solutions for all proposed new business.
• Make decisions regarding deliveries outside of Service Offering Matrix rules.
• Conduct on-site reviews/training of divisional routes for cost/benefit evaluations.
• Provide performance reports comparing planned routes versus dispatched routes to Logistics Managers and Group Operations Manager.
• Manage driver feedback, accuracy, and timeliness, as well as driver skill level/engagement and CSR feedback/interaction to meet customer requirements while managing delivery expenses.
• Create "What If" routing scenarios to identify opportunities for delivery expense savings.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Supply Chain processes across transportation modes.
• Proficient in routing's functional and technical aspects, including analysis and decision-making.
• Effective problem-solving and conflict management abilities required.

Work Experience:

• 1-3 years of related job experience.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.

• Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
