The Department of Transportation Services, Transportation Engineering Division, is hiring for a Traffic Technician III in Honolulu. This position supports transportation and traffic studies by collecting, compiling, and analyzing data, reviewing simple plans and designs for compliance with standards, and assisting with more complex projects that improve roadway safety and efficiency. The position is a temporary (limited-term) position with the possibility of extension. What You Will Do:Collect traffic data in the field, including vehicle counts, pedestrian activity, speed studies, and other traffic-related information. Install, operate, adjust, and maintain traffic counting equipment and related tools.
