RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY:
• Manages all aspects of the Health Record Registry Team.
• Responsible for achieving departmental goals and objectives for assigned area(s) and ensures effective utilization of human and material resources.
• Responsible for the coordination of efforts with other departments within the organization.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in nursing, or healthcare.
• Master's degree preferred.
B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Current Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification from the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA).
C. EXPERIENCE:
• Five (5) years experience in cancer registry and/or experience in an oncology data management position.
• Two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience.
• Two (2) years experience in non-oncology registry and/or data registry management desired.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills in dealing with senior management.
