Within the Technical Strategy and Oversight (TSO) organization, we are dedicated to empowering customer choice and ensuring transparency and value in cloud infrastructure. We are launching exciting new initiatives, including the canonical implementation of core components for data planes. Our goal is to improve engineering efficiency by specializing in the development of low-level, high-performance systems for adoption across OCI's core cloud services.

We are seeking a talented engineer to design and deliver high-performance, scalable data stores as a foundational service within Oracle Cloud. This is a unique opportunity to create a new Tier 0 service from the ground up while collaborating with senior technical leaders at OCI. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated engineers passionate about tackling complex data-plane systems and performance challenges. You should be a proficient developer with a strong grasp of low-level systems architecture. A commitment to simplicity, scalability, and collaboration in an agile environment is essential.

Responsibilities

As part of the software engineering division, you will play a key role in defining and developing software tasks related to cloud-scale applications, including developing, debugging, and designing solutions.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in software development and operations
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ with a deep understanding of Unix POSIX semantics
• Experience in developing low-level, highly concurrent systems
• Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems
• Team player with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt in complex and rapidly evolving software development environments
• Quick learner who can champion and enhance cross-team processes
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts and technologies

Compensation: The hiring range for this position is $79,200 to $178,100 per year, with potential eligibility for bonuses and equity. Oracle offers a broad salary range to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions.
