Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure rooms are prepared for new admissions, returning residents, and room changes.
• Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping to ensure rooms are in optimal condition.
• Enhance the admissions process to provide a seamless, customer-friendly experience while ensuring all necessary documentation and regulatory functions are completed promptly.
• Review and manage referrals from clinics and hospitals, ensuring accurate data entry into our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Work closely with the Admissions Director, Director of Nursing, and Administrator to maintain appropriate census levels.
• Adhere to the Code of Conduct and Business Ethics policy, including documentation and reporting responsibilities.
• Participate in Quality Improvement activities and be available for occasional after-hours, on-call, and weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; a degree in healthcare management or marketing is a plus.
• An understanding of the healthcare delivery system, medical terminology, and a background or interest in sales is desirable.
• Experience as a CNA or in a healthcare role is strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with medical terms, EPIC, and basic computer programs is preferred.
• Ability to apply training effectively and instruct staff during training sessions and meetings.
• Experience with insurance verification and authorization is a plus.
• This will be an onsite position M-F 0800-1700, with weekend availability needed.
