Special Security Officer (SSO)

Falken Industries is seeking a Special Security Officer (SSO) with an active Top Secret/SCI clearance to support a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is a full-time, on-site position managing all aspects of SCI security compliance, accreditation, and operations in accordance with ICD 705, DoD, and ICD 705 directives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for all SCI security matters.
  2. Manage and maintain SCIF accreditation documentation and compliance with ICD/ICS 705 standards.
  3. Oversee physical, personnel, technical, and procedural security functions.
  4. Validate and process SCI access requests, manage visitor certifications, and maintain records in the Integrated Security Management System (ISMS).
  5. Conduct SCI indoctrinations, debriefings, and security briefings for personnel.
  6. Administer the Industrial Security Program for the district, ensuring contracts and solicitations include appropriate security clauses.
  7. Manage Intrusion Detection System (IDS) alarms, alarm testing, and vendor coordination.
  8. Track and maintain GSA containers, SCIF door combinations, and related accountability paperwork.
  9. Ensure proper handling, safeguarding, transmission, and destruction of SCI material.
  10. Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).
  11. Support security inspections, compliance reviews, and visits from accrediting authorities.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen with active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Minimum 57 years of experience in SCI/SCIF security, intelligence, counterintelligence, or related fields.
  • Direct experience as a Physical Security SSO with knowledge of ICD/ICS 705 requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience on at least three (3) SCIF projects under ICD 705.
  • Strong knowledge of physical, technical, TEMPEST, and AIS security requirements.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with government and contractor personnel.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Security, Intelligence, or related field (preferred)
  • DoD Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) (or ability to obtain within 2 years).
  • ASIS International Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or equivalent.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $120,000 $140,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications).

  • Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates. Position is for 12 months with possibility of extension for up to 3 years.
