Teaching: 20%Teach credit courses in Tropical Medicine, Medical Microbiology and Pharmacology, and relevant disciplines offered by the Department to undergraduate, graduate, and medical students. Serve as a research mentor and advisor for undergraduate and graduate students, medical students, and medical residents. Research: 60%Participate in and support existing infectious diseases research interests while establishing/re-establishing own basic science, clinical or translational research program at JABSOM. Relevant research interests in the Department include infectious disease pathogenesis, host-microbe interactions, infectious disease epidemiology and diagnostics, clinical trials, and vaccines and other novel engineering of prophylactic and therapeutic interventions against viral, bacterial and parasitic diseases such as HIV, SARS-Co.
